@cls1, @artemis1886, and all...I agree. Several years ago, I tossed all my shoes - either donating or garbage! Before that, I'd already done the same with my beautiful, stylish heels and or low-heeled shoes. I finally admitted I needed to walk, and couldn't do that without drastically different shoes.
I tried several companies. I settled on Sketchers because they have a slip-on non-laced shoe that almost looks attractive. I need a bit of beauty mixed with comfort and also some bling if possible. Sketchers provide all those needs.
I love the skimmer, I think they call them, in different types of soles and cushions. My instep is high, so no shoes that go far above the toe joints or I swell out of them. I can't tie laces due to arthritis in my hands and it's pretty uncomfortable anyway to have to get to them to tie. I love being able to slip into the shoe and go.
I have various colors, snake, red, sequin/star bling, white, and several different black pairs with slightly different designs and soles. I also have a pair of wonderfully comfortable Sketcher sandals. Living in Florida, it's vital to have comfortable, fun sandals for casual hot weather and/or beach wear. I expect the best comfort AND the fun colors and a touch of style!
Blessings on your foot journey. Elizabeth

You can buy the no tie shoe laces at most shoe stores or Amazon. I have problems dressing myself as far as getting a leg you can’t control into pants or shoes. Then it’s frustrating trying to get them off. I spent my birthday in Florida for a month (April). Had fun loved the food but injured my back walking in the sand at night with the water splashing on my legs. Felt great my husband said the water was really cold. I could not really feel it but it felt good if that makes any sense. When we got back to the hotel he checked out my feet warmed them up. It was more humid than Dallas. I just don’t understand how people can live there and California. Florida is prettier than California but the price of living in both places is crazy. My husband works for the Department of Defense and he had a month long class in Florida . I loved the sunset.

Love my sketcher shoes and sandals, but it was just mentioned that custom orthotics don’t fit in them and I’m about to get one for my left foot. That will break my heart as I have at least 30 pairs!
