PRP for TMJ?
Has anyone injected their own PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) into their TMJ to help with Osteoarthritis? I'm almost 60. Despite wearing a nightguard since my 20's, my jaws are always sore. Recent scan shows more deterioration of my jaw bone. Doctor suggested PRP to help. I found some information about PRP for knees and shoulders but not for the jaw. Anyone have experience or knowledge about PRP for TMJ? Please share. (FYI: PRP is not covered by insurance.)

I had heard someone taking a muscle relaxer and another had a "little" surgery to reduce the tension and motion.
Good luck 🤞
I was also prescribed muscle relaxers. I have been trying that and it seems to be helping but i'm also interested in PRP if it can help slow down the progression of osteoarthritis in my jaws due to bruxism. (I also have osteoporosis.) Thank you for your input.
Very interested in this, anyone know how to proceed?
Interested in this too! I wonder if it would be covered by insurance
