@equanimous Arlo what kind of exercise do you do and when do you fit it in? After nebbing clearing I'm ready to eat and exercise moves to lower down the list of to do's. If the weather's cooperative I walk outside so I am getting some movement but not exercise per se.

Not equanimous, but I do some of mine BEFORE airway clearance. It gets the mucus moving. I do stretching - both in bed and when I get up, a few balance exercises, and maybe a minute or three of stairs or a brisk walk in the yard. Alls of these help.

And, I try to make all of my housework and errands into exercise. Like - leave the yard waste bin on the patio and briskly carry the leaves and weed from yard and garden to bin. Sweep/vacuum/scrub vigorously. Or run the laundry up or down stairs a few pieces at a time to put in wash, or fold/put away. Park in the farthest spot at the grocer, you get the idea. Our ancestors stayed fit without "exercise" just by living. Sometimes I manage 10,000 steps without ever leaving the yard.

Hi Scoop! Monday and Weds I do water aerobics. I know some will take me to task about this but the pool is a really big, junior olympic sized outdoor pool. The maintenance man verified that he cleans the pool after each water aerobics class (I always see him waiting in the wings for us to finish). So, I feel pretty safe and it is an excellent form of exercise that is gentle on the joints. Aside from that, on Tuesdays and Fridays I do a "Silver Sneakers" aerobics class that includes bands, weights and aerobics exercises.
One thing I'd like to recommend is a film called "Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones. " It is available on Netflix and is truly amazing. As the film will show, exercise is a key element in physical/mental health and longevity. No matter the disability, if a person can do just one small thing a day, it will be beneficial.
