I'm hoping someone can give me lower back and core exercise suggestions to help strengthen the muscles in my lower back to help keep it steady, but yet not cause more issues with the back.

Leg and abdominal exercises are good for lower back pain start with only 5 reps for a week or 2 and add a few at a time.
