Thank you for your response. I will be in the hospital over night. I am 83 years old so I do not think I will be on a bike. My notes say
the surgery is robotic assisted and vaginal hysterectomy. I know so little. The physician has said the the surgery will
be approximately 3 hours.
thank you again.

83!!!! You’ll do fine, might have to use a bike with training wheels, or tricycle, lol. It’s always scary to under the knife, but that surgery is amazing, they can probably get all the cancer out. They use a liquid that lights up the cancerous cells, and cut with something that kind of corterizes … bad speller. You leave with four small wholes. Sometimes they give it a wast of. chemo and rinse, at the end. I’ll keep you in my prayer bubble! Listen to your gut … trust your own self on any of this. Much love and healing ❤️‍🩹 to you❤️🤗

@susan1715 You definitely will not be riding a bike after the hysterectomy. 😆

It'll take you for weeks to heal, so be sure to have a lot of bone broth and other nutritional soft foods to eat too make going to the bathroom easier because the pain pills are necessary to take a prescribed and will make you constipation, unfortunately. A tip someone gave me was to walk back and forth across your room s couple of times when you get up to go to the bathroom. Light walking, as many steps as you can tolerate, given the pain, is good until the the second week of recovery passes. You will feel much better by the fourth week. However, remember not to lift anything over 10 pounds. Start strong with good nutrition. Soups and cereals like oatmeal are great. God bless you!
