Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?
I am on a constant quest for shoes that don't kill my feet due to the neuropathy. I find that Spencos and Wolky shoes seem the best. Are there any other suggestions? Shoes can be just crippling for me. Horrid.

I agree that the OrthoFeet shoes offer comfort and soft, squishy feeling, rather than painful pressure. I order a size larger than my past shoe size so all points of contact are gentle. I have not tried the other brands listed in this thread so its good to know there are options.
Your story is intriguing to me since I was also prescribed several broad spectrum antibiotics back in 2007 as my internist thought I had a nasty sinus infection that would re-occur shortly after a coarse of Levaquin or Ceph. and lots of Prednisone. This went on until Mayo Clinic ENT diagnosed me with Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory disease (AERD) in 2014. Yes, sounds crazy and I was told the numbness in my big toes was Idiopathic Neuropathy that had no known cause or cure.
Its great to hear that your nerves are healing and there is a form of treatment that may help others. For the most part, we are told chiropractors, supplements and expensive Rebuilder units have no healing effect but may reduce pain. Hopeful that you have ultimate healing.
The most helpful advice I can give you is you won't know what works for YOU until you try it. Experiment slowly. If you feel comfortable walking inside, walking outside shouldn't be too different. Get in your car and just work the brake pedal to see how it feels. If you have a driveway, slowly drive up and down it. I've had chemo induced neuropathy for 3 years. Most of the pain improved in the first year after ending chemo. I'm currently dealing with numbness and discomfort from what feels like swelling but isn't. I walk outside and drive anywhere I want. I'm not sure how much I "feel" the car pedals, but I feel enough pressure to be able to adjust faster, slower, stop without incident. You'll never know until you try. FYI I wear Sketchers, Hokas and New Balance the most but also wear just about any other kind of well-padded shoe with decent support.
I use Kizik. Helps with my walking, I buy online.
What is Kizik?
It’s a shoe brand recommended by my podiatrist. Some Merrill brands also help. Ortho shoes just never worked for me. I need a wide toe shoe
Anyone tried Birenstock?
Open toe Birkenstock’s help me the most. But living in NJ with cold temps, well that’s a challenge. I found soft toe sneakers are more helpful that hard toe. And softest cushiony insoles are helpful when you can find them.
Orthofeet is the only brand I have found that I can wear for any length of time.
I’ve been happy with my 2 purchases of Orthfeet shoes & boots. Mail order, easy returns and exchanges. Comes in super wide and includes inserts for arch support. Ortho feet.com
Since I’m new here, apparently I’m not allowed to post links. So I’ll send you a picture. Haven’t tried any of these as yet. But it’s from today.com
