Rob here. Back pain for 27 odd years. 3 major operations including a double spinal fusion l4 L5 L5 S1. In 94 96 and 97. Narcotics changed to Oxy from codeine several years ago (good thing). Have a nerve blockh done at local hospital every 4 months. I use bridge, the card game as a distraction. take Naproxene for arthritic pain. have inversion table. Pain specialist gives me iMS needles and some frezzing every 2 weeks. Anti depressant. We just got a new Lab puppy and I am sore from playing and training. Had accupuncture/chiro/physio, gravity chairs, epidural needles with coctail of freezing and cortisone. But siatica pain went after disc removal. yah! Still unable to do most things. Take care out there.

@robeaver Oh, so like me...fusions, up to 5 surgeries bec had to have the nerve stimulator removed. None of the needle procedures work on me. And I do not respond to pain killers or have very bad reactions to them. Waiting to see if a radiofrequency ablation that I had about 5 weeks ago will show some relief to the 7 to 9 pain in lumbar. Also, have had painful compression fractures. Since nothing works, I have just started on a gabapentin schedule where I have a dosage that is upped little by little. It is something that is finally working some. My neurosurgeon said sometimes the simple and cheaper meds can work. Certainly, understand all your problems - mine have gone on nearly 30 years....

Oh, you sound like me. Still have pain. I will see a new pain specialist in Dec (can't get in until then) hope to get some answers then!
