After I developed lymphedema in the lower extremities, an anti-inflammatory diet was recommended. I stopped gluten and the bloating feeling after eating is gone. I recently developed a rash on my neck after eating eggplant along with extreme body aches that evening after dinner. I researched nightshades. You may want to also. So far, I’m able to tolerate tomatoes, potatoes occasionally, and peppers so I have only eliminated eggplant from my diet.
I suggest looking up Dr. Leo Galland. He is a functional medicine Dr. in NY and has a protocol out there on line. I never ended up having an appointment with him because of the wait time. His protocol is very helpful. It’s sounds like antihistamines could help you as they have many LCers. A low histamine diet as well. Tomatoes are very high in histamine. Look at his protocol, try H1 and H2 blockers…Zyrtec and Pepcid a couple times a day. Obviously talk with your Dr first. Gallends protocol will walk you through in much greater detail these suggestions. Good luck!
