What gets you outta bed consistently?

I'm bipolar and when I wake up I feel depression right away. My fiancee is also bipolar. We go to bed at different times. My cocktail is Seroquel, klonopin, temazepam and zoloft. We have no friends because people don't get it. They think we should be working, but I can't. I'm 60 and one of the only things that makes me happy is working out and sleep. My children have dumped me for no reason. I wish I was normal like my high school friends. Life has been rough, however between my meds and God I get through every day. Winter is coming and that lack of sunshine is hard on me. Constipation is another side effect for me. I think psychiatrists need meds. This is my first time on here and I hope we can together support each other. Thank you if you read this post. My name is Yvonne and I live in Indiana

Hello there!
I am a fellow human 80 y.o. ... up north in Canada.
But I've been interested in mental mental health problems for years, especially the current Opioid Epidemic that CDC notes has more deaths claimed than gun related deaths and motor vehicle accidents Combined.
I ma also a big fan of CBT, which is really just Clearer Thinking.
And Mayo site says it helps with Bipolar too. https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/cognitive-behavioral-therapy/about/pac-20384610

I had a short bout of panic attack yrs ago and CBT-on -my own helped me get thru it. Essentially it was the cold realization that sometimes one's years of written work may have no one agent interested in. I'd three ups and downs in life financially but still have (and had) reasonably good health .. with no meds, nearly no tests, no surgeries and rare doctor visits. I suppose, besides living healthy lifestyle (food, exercise, stress management, sound sleep, I get up each day wanting to accomplish next day. I decide my days and weeks work based on my larger PURPOSE in life: To live out most what I can. But it's Not a selfish goal; it includes good of the humanity.

And this is the other more-than-half of the equation. I believe in it because there is evidence. I 'd like to think you'd find the God's help that you draw upon in life in accord with this. For me such purpose is critical for lasting health. But even if you disagree I'd like to explore the possibility of CBT helping out with your woes.

I'd love to see you have a more enjoyable life. If you agree we can attempt to go with CBT. But U need to know what links say.

Wish You All Best
