Collagen for osteoporosis?

I have advanced osteoporosis (-5.1 T Score) at age 72, so I have made radical changes to diet and lifestyle. The first collagen I took was Applied Nutrition liquid collagen (Costco). I had to trust it was helping my bones, but the astounding thing was within days the arthritis in my fingers was no longer painful. There had been years of wearing compression gloves at night, using a mitt that I kept frozen to ease the pain, etc. There was no longer tightness in the morning and the pain was gone. So, hopefully, the bones are benefitting too. I alternate between the liquid collagen and one I order from Dr. McCormick, whom I consulted for osteoporosis. His product is Osteonaturals.

Oh, Kathleen~
Sounds like you're really feeling relief from what you're taking. How wonderful to experience relief from your painful arthritis. I'm now 79..and have been taking the same collagen for all these years..(codeage)...I hope the same results for myself. I haven't had another Dexa in a year or so. When I do get one..I will post the results.
If you have had pain because of your T-score..has that also gotten better? Hope so!
Take care now!

Bunky44,
I just ordered collagen from OsteoNaturals. I am hoping that it will help my bones and my arthritis.
Has anyone tried any of OsteoNaturals other products?

I take Dr McCormack's as well.
