Hello all, I started having twitching and didn't think much of it at first but, it became persistent and moved from my shoulders to my arms, then my sides etc. I was later diagnosed with cervical Myelomalacia, which is softening of the spine.....and this is one of the symptoms. It can be diagnosed with an MRI of the neck. It could be in the lumbar area also. Best of luck to you getting answers.
