Peripheral nerve stimulators
This is a long shot, but I’m looking for people who have used implanted peripheral nerve stimulators (PNS) to control nerve pain. They block the pain signal to the brain. Stimrouter and Stimwave are major brands. These are NOT the same thing as spinal cord stimulators, of which there are many brands. I’m about to have a Stimwave implanted to block intractable pelvic and leg nerve pain.

Did it work.?
I am doing research about the Nalu device. My pain management doctor recommended it. I have severe scoliosis among some other things and I’ve been on Percocet four times a day for years, so I wanted to get as much feedback as I could to make a decision if this would be right for me.. I have yet to find a lot of reviews if anyone has some advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
I’ve had unremitting neck and head pain for over a year. No disk bulges suggesting surgery. After multiple cervical injections at all levels that didn’t work, I asked for and received a cervical plexus block. That and a greater occipital block I also asked for and received have helped. However the pain center doc I see still recommended a Sprint temporary device. Docs do seem to recommend them and I’m not sure why.
I finally broke down and bought the Bemer and I am so happy I did period. You should all look into purchasing a Bemer. It has been extremely helpful for me. I have only had it a week and it’s already helped.
Please explain. What is that & how has it helped ?
Did you buy the Kloud? Are you using the mat and the smaller piece for hands and feet
Has anyone ever heard of taking L-LYSINE?
My pain management doctor is trying hard for me to get this. I’m very concerned about getting an implant on my spine. But he says there’s nothing else for me. I’m on lyrica and medical marijuana gummies which help very little. I hope whatever decision you make is the best for you.
I've heard of it, and it's been mentioned several times in this blog. Very little discussion, however. My understanding is that it's an over-the-counter supplement. Is this right? Can someone relate some experiences with it, please. And how does it work?
Thanks.
I had the Sprint trial about 3 months ago and it took all the pain away, 95%! However, the leads migrated and then they had to remove them. This proved that an implant would block the pain. About 6 weeks ago I had the Stimrouter PNS implanted. Sadly, no luck on this one. Next Thursday I'm meeting with the Bioventus rep and surgeon to try new programming but I'm not holding my breath. The trial was amazing but the permanent implant is simply not working. Let's see what they will say during my appointment (Stanford).
