I find that Xero shoes work best for me as I can no longer feel my feet. They are a barefoot shoe.
Find them at xeroshoes.com. They are kind of pricey but I feel they work best. I have purchased the Z Trail sandals and am purchasing the Scrambler Low shoe which has teamed up with Michelin for the sole of the shoe.
Hope this helps.

Welcome @angielewis1959, I also like Xero shoes though they are pricey. I have several pair and like the zero drop soles that are like walking barefoot. It does allow me to feel the ground a little better even with my neuropathy. I've found that I can walk more stable since I don't have the cushy feeling which seems to mess with my balance more. I'm currently using the Aptos slip on, but also have the Ridgeway hiking boots that provide more support but are a pain for lacing up. I also just ordered a pair of the Birchbury slip-ons that have the same type of sole to see if they work as well as my Xero shoes.

Do you have pain with your neuropathy?
