@ziggy1

I had a TKR in August 2023. At 6 weeks I am feeling what feels like acid going along my nerves. It started out as lightning and has progressed. I was told it would last 3 to 4 months.
I have a band along the right side of my knee and one over the top that feels as though it's a rubber band stretched to the breaking point. I don't know if any of this is caused by the shot or not.

I would say that you are experiencing nerve pain. Those lightning types sensations you describe are similar to what I had. The only relief I got was by taking a medication called Lyrica. Is specific for nerve pain. Unfortunately, regardless how skilled the surgeon might be some of us have more damaged, nerved than others, and end up having to deal with this type of pain.
Be patient. It will get better. Recovery takes about a year. (Which is much longer than I ever expected)
