Lisa - I really wish my hands weren’t affected severely by my Neuropathy, as I would REALLY like to be able to tie shoes so I could make sure the shoes provided the ankle and heel area support I need. My feet are skinny in those areas, and as much as I’d sometimes prefer a little more toe room, wider shoe brands almost always have loose heel/ankle support which is not safe or comfortable for me. As for Skechers, since my shoes need to be slip-on, have you tried Skechers Ghent model? They have elastic loop looking “laces” that you don’t tie but are like rubber bands to help keep the shoe snug. Yes, I suppose they lose a little elasticity over time, but I’ve usually worn the shoes out by then. Good luck in your search, I know it’s hard, and as soon as we get settled on a brand, our feet needs change on us…

I did see those but my feet are so painful in all shoes (except flip flops) that I can’t have anything tight across the bridge. My hands have never bothered me much, thank goodness. Last night my feet hurt so bad after wearing regular shoes to work that I felt kind of hopeless but today is better. You take care !

I have had good luck with Saucony shoes because they have a wide toe box and a narrow heel. I have the Saucony Cohesion and just got a pair of the Saucony Triumph. They run true to size and so I have no problems ordering on line. The Triumph seems to be more cushiony but at the same time it has good support.
