I know this will sound weird but sandals help and tight shoes make it worse. Lucky for me I can wear sandals all year. I think letting the feet move around as much as possible helps, the more constrained they are the worse I feel.

I'm in the same boat. Just be careful if you are wearing backless sandals since they offer less stability than a sandal with a a backstop. I've had good luck with sandals made by Finn Comfort from Germany. Pricey but they're built tough and I often get compliments (from women) on their appearance. hey can also be re-soled.
