I am quadriplegic, and I am prone to UTIs. About five years back, I found something online about foods that eat E. coli in the bladder. Cranberries, cherries, blueberries, apples, green beans, broccoli, and cabbage. I started taking a cranberry supplement, eating blueberries, every other day, having green beans with supper, three times a week, drinking cherry juice, and having broccoli once in a while. I haven’t had one since. I did also increase my water intake. You might not need to have these things as much as I did. This has been my experience.

I forgot to add that my sugar intake is next to nothing. Sugar is a bladder irritant. It’s hard when they put sugar in everything. I used to drink pop and coffee that I added cream and sugar to. Now the only sugar I really get, is from ice cream sandwiches, damn that ice cream, truck, and jelly, and whatever’s in bread. I look at the nutrition labels of things, and try my best to avoid stuff that has added sugars I don’t eat candy, and any juice that I drink is no sugar added. So basically, the only sugar I get is from my fruit.
