Most recently, Keflex. All cultures say Ecoli. Bactrum and Cipro were not effective. I’ve asked about a routine low dose of Macrobid, but was advised this approach is a last resort since it is hard on the kidneys and can build up a resistance. I’d rather not take heavy antibiotics anyway. They wipe me out.

I’ve had so many UTIs over the years.Bactrim caused a dive in my GFR, from which I never fully recovered. I am on methenamine Hippurate (Hiprex) 1/2 g a day. I used to take a full gram but my Mayo nephrologist reduced it to half.
