I had 3/4 of my tongue removed, double neck dissection, then 6 weeks of radiation and chemo. It was all very tolerable, but the last half of the radiation was uncomfortable. The worst part was the ropey phlegm that made it hard to sleep. The trick to not losing weight is to drink the 530 calorie Boosts that you can order on Amazon by the case. @mnmike, you mention the ropey phlegm using past tense. Does this mean the phlegm is less now? And sleep is easier for you?
