Has anyone experienced balance issues as s side effect of Lyrica? I just increased dose to 100 mg 3x/day and suddenly feel weak and unbalanced.

Other than reducing pain, has it helped in reducing the feeling of numbness?
Bernie
Not one bit. All I have is numbness and I’ve been using Lyrica for going on four years and it has done nothing. I want to go off it but it does help with the burning sensation I have.
I find that it does help take the edge off of the discomfort which is the only reason I continue. I've been on it for about the same time as yourself. Are you able to wear closed shoes? this has been the biggest challenge for me.

I recently had a supervised change in settings and I can say, I was wrong, Nevro does seem to reduce and on some settings, eliminate my neuropathy. But I also take Cymbalta, which I am trying to get off, so this muddies the picture.
It has helped my pain but you have to work with a technician after placement to get it to the right setting and go very slowly with changes per their instructions. It will not remove all your pain but definitely takes it down a few notches. I have a Nevro. But I imagine they all work off the same principle and are similar. Good luck with your trial
Just found out from my Nevro tech that the battery runs down frequently only when he set the device to “continuous” and sure enough, when he set it to “intermittent” I only have to charge it about every 4 days.
I take Lyrica twice a day. I have no problems with my morning dose but my before bed dose causes ringing in my ears that makes it hard to sleep. It lasts about 20 minutes then goes away.
I also take Lyrica and have a number of uncomfortable side effects, but not ringing in the ears. That must be awful.
I don’t know what dose you are on but I take 100 mg of Lyrica daily. Although these are supposedly common side effects, when you have enough of them it makes it hard to justify continuing the drug. I will bring this up with my pain management doctor when I see him in January. Hopefully there will be a suitable alternative.
I was on 75 mg that’s what it did to me. I took gabapentin. It wasn’t so bad. Finally got off went to Cleveland clinic. They did some numbing shots. And a PRF
Made my pain worse now I’m on Lyrica 50 mg three times a day. Waiting to see what happens.
Discontinued Lycra and Gabapentin and there was no difference in my neuropathy in my legs. My neuropathy is caused by spinal stenosis, not diabetic.
