I called Mayo in AZ a couple of weeks ago for an appointment regarding my scoliosis (for which I’ve had multiple surgeries over the years). I was told at that time they were short one doctor and couldn’t see me. I was told to try again at the beginning of next year! Needless to say, I was very disappointed.

For me it wasn't very long because I chose to go in January and February. I think it was about a month. I was told that because the temperatures are so cold alot people don't want to go then.
Yes the temperatures were very cold with snow but our hotel was attached to the clinic, stores and restaurants so there was a constant temperature in the 70s and I had no need to go out except when I went to St. Mary's hospital which was one mile away. Took an Uber because of the temperatures.
