Thank you for the insightful information. Glad to hear you are symptom free for PN. Would you mind sharing the name of the supplements you take?. I do believe in the power of holistic medicine.
I have high cholesterol because I can’t take statins nor do I want to. Total cholesterol by itself is meaningless. The ratios of
TC/HDL, LDL/HDL , Triglyceride/HDL along with cardiac calcium scoring and the size of the LDL particles tell the true cardiac risk.
Would you please tell me lthe amount you take daily. Ex:75 mg in the morning,75 mg at noon, 125 mg at bedtime. I need more information on taking it because I have terrible leg pain. I would think it’s based on you weight also?? Please let me know
That is awesome.. the Gluthaisone
Is a great supplement and Turmeric is a good alternative Ad it has the same similar properties and BCAA’s is also wonderful supplement the building blocks for repair I used these throughout my weightlifting regularly for decades
Another good one to add is horse chestnut for spider veins and circulation this repairs Spider veins I’d say give this a try wouldn’t hurt for say diabetics for more circulation I know it’s helped me and I also take COQ10 and fish oil
I have an SCS and fond it did not help with Morton's neuroma pain not neuropathy pain. What SCS are you using?
I take three Lyrica a day 100 mg but I do not think that is causing unbalanced. I think it’s more the bottom of my feet. I really have not found any side effect from Lyrica whatsoever. I’m trying to find another drug to take because my neuropathy seems to be spreading.
I have a Nevro. But I would think all the SCS work similarly. So sorry you did not get help. I know how disappointing that must have been. Keep searching. I have seen people discussing other pain relief methods on here. Gayle
Welcome, welcome, welcome @sebringsully. It sounds like you are anxious to make informed decisions. I hope your medical professional believes in and practices shared decision-making.
Does the irritation in the bottom of your feet make you feel that your neuropathy is spreading?
May you be safe, protected and free of inner and outer harm.
Chris
I take 100mg of Lyrica in the morning and 100mg at bedtime with my other neuropathy pills. The only side effects I have from Lyrica is dry mouth which has caused me to need teeth fillings. I never had an issue with this until I started this drug. I would like to get off of it because I have a lot of numbness in both my hands and feet and Lyrica does not help this.
I understand that the Nerve works at a much higher frequency (10,000 Hz vs Boston Scientific at about 2,000 Hz). However, I understand that the Nerve requires daily recharging. Is that true in your case? Does it help relive both the pain and the numbness?
I didn’t know that about the Nevro. I do have to recharge frequently, I would say about every other day. But since it works to reduce a good bit of pain, I will gladly do it! I had not thought about it until you asked but I fully recharged it to level 4 about mid-day yesterday and when I checked it just now it was down to 2. So I could have waited till tomorrow to recharge, but I will do it tonight as I lay here reading. I only have what I would call moderate numbness. I don’t notice any difference with that since I started the Nevro.
