@robson78 If that is the plan you agree to, what I recommend is to speak with him in the pre-op room right before you go into surgery and reconfirm what he is doing. They do a lot of cases, and if this is different from what he normally does, you wouldn't want him to do something else while you are under the anesthesia. You will need to sign an authorization anyway. He may be bringing that to you or it may be an assistant, but have the conversation with the surgeon. I did this before my surgery, and at the time, I also thanked my surgeon for helping me. That is the best way to go forward and feeling grateful.
