I have an appointment with my primary physician in just a few days so I'm going to discuss it with them and express my wishes. I also am going to call the nurse that works with Metlife and see if they can help me get approval for the procedure versus just this biopsy. I really do believe I have severe endometriosis because of the pain I'm having and the symptoms. The Gyn insisted that the midline pain I'm having wouldn't be coming from just EH. šŸ™

@misty51 Congratulations on being your own advocate! Yes, starting with your primary care physician this week for a frank discussion on what is happening is great. So is calling the nurse at MetLife to discussion preauthorization if needed for the procedure. I donā€™t think that going straight to hysteroscopy and perhaps D&C can be attributed to ā€œjustā€ your worries. I can see that you are going to speak up for yourself and getting a sort of proverbial pat on the head with limited advice isnā€™t going to work with you. I write this because Iā€™ve been treated this way and itā€™s infuriating. Given the pain, in particular, that you continue to experience why wouldnā€™t it make sense to have a closer look with the procedure?

Will you please let me know what you find out?
