Been having severe vomiting episodes that last for 1-3 days every few weeks (for the last two years). Had gallbladder removed but that didn’t help. Several times I have to go to ER for fluids. Last time they did a CT scan and told me colitis. Has anyone ever just had nausea & vomiting with colitis?

I have Colitis but not those symptoms. I believe there are verious kinds of Colitis, so I'm trying to be sure which one I have. I have only had a colonoscopy but no other tests. I have been told by 2 different gastrologists that I have one or 2 types of Colitis. That is not good enough, I believe so I need to get this agreed upon. I feel badly for you, and especially to have to go to ER. I never have had vomiting or nausea. I drink the recommended 2 quarts of water daily, good for my bladder. I recommend that you talk to the ER team to get a specific diagnose as to the type of Colitis it is and how to treat it with meds.
