Thank you great idea
Have you tried mashed potatoes? I ate really bland foods. I couldn’t eat vegetables or fruits for awhile. I did lots of mashed potatoes and chicken. Also scrambled eggs and cheese worked for me. I ate plain bagels and made some protein shakes just added protein powder, milk, half a banana and Greek yogurt. I also used fresh squeezed orange juice I got at sams club. I am now able to eat most everything except beans, broccoli, I stay away from extra sugar no soda ever. I don’t drink anything with carbonation. If I eat a little ice cream I make sure I take a creon and that helps. I don’t eat anything spicy and don’t eat late at night. If I drink coffee I usually add some water to it and dilute it. But add creamer. I also take Imodium AD two to three times a day. My only bathroom episodes are when I wake up in the morning that’s it. Rest of the day I am fine. I am working on not eating stuff that causes lots of gas. Narrowed it down to sugar and water. I also get gas when I miss a meal and am hungry. For some reason I can’t drink a lot of plain water.
Especially with meals. Only drink sips between meals. Hope some of this helps.
I ate a lot of mashed potatoes after my Whipple, but had to reduce the butter substantially. I also drank (and still drink) a lot of coffee, but had to eliminate the heavy creamer. Similar issue with meats: too much fat to manage even with Creon. Still in the bathroom more often than I'd like... 🙁
Jello gelatin and sometimes the small pudding cups can be easy on the stomach, and filling enough to take the hungry edge off.
My dietician advised including nut butters. I seem to digest easily and it has helped me with getting in the calories. I found I could eat fruits without Creon which allowed me to snack a little bit, otherwise I would be taking Creon all day long. If I have meats, I seem to need higher dose of Creon. Butter is out!
Creon with protein and fat. Protein shakes count as protein so I was told to take it with shakes. How much creon are you taking? The capsules come in concentrations.
I take 6,000 units x 3 any higher stomachaches 2 for snacks thank you
I was just recalling how much I like sweet potato casserole with pecans. It's a more nutritious vegetable than plain white potatoes, and goes down easy with less butter. There's a zero-calorie brown sugar substitute from Swerve that uses Erythritol as the sweetener. We put it on top of the casserole last Easter and will be doing the same for Thanksgiving!
Kings Hawaiian dinner rolls are also a nice, soft, sweet comfort food you can eat in small, controllable portions. Make mini-sandwiches out of those, or just dip the bread in a little chicken broth.
Fat-free sorbets and similar frozen desserts (if you're not dealing with with oxaliplatin) were also pretty comforting to my stomach.

You should try making proteins shakes at gnc they have the high calorie whey protein powder with 1340 calories. I add banana and soy milk for my husband. It’s been helping my husband with his treatments of chemo. His blood work comes out great so far but it’s doing the job. And of course he eats edibles indica gummies and helps him with the nausea and pain
