Thank you for your response. I truly like Mayo clinic’s innovations that said their patient handling for the day-to-day operations needs so much improvement. Their website/app took almost a year to get somewhere. No quality assurance. Anyway, I did call the patient experience finally and person was polite but they told me that they will review and let me know accepted or denied. Am I missing something here? I use a well known insurance plus Mayo is a non-profit organizations with lots of government grants despite all of this back and forth either give up patient family practice or hire some good coordinators. Anyway just ranting and wishing for a better service from a world class organization with weak management. Sorry had to mention that. My insurance called me for my regular A1C test missing or not scheduled but the nurses from the Dr X’s office called me and scheduled one. Thank you all!

I am a little confused here - when you say you are seeking a family practice doctor at Mayo, was your former doctor practicing in one of your local Mayo clinics and then retired? And the problem was with the newly assigned one not being attentive to detail and not accessible?

Or were these doctors outside the Mayo clinics, and now you are trying to find care in a Mayo Clinic? If it is the latter, the link for locating a clinic near you is:

Mayo Clinic has a very limited number of Family Practice doctors on staff, so naturally their availability is much more limited than in a local clinic.
