I just wanted to add my story. 1/2020 I was infected and I was treated in March after convincing myself it was a UTI that I tried to battle myself. It started to get pretty painful but was much more painful after I was treated, I was treated again for PID which they didn’t say I had, no one said it. Treated again for 21 days. I was tested 20 times and no one could tell me what was going on, was referred to specialists for all sorts of symptoms: pubic bone pain, I couldn’t even walk most days for a while the pain and heaviness in my uterus was so bad, the urethra pain was present from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep and this went on for months and months. It started to resolve regularly about 6 months after treatment. It was totally gone after a year but I had also gotten pregnant and sometimes I think that’s what really ended my symptoms. The pain went away with time. It was a good opportunity to learn about womb health but other than that it was the worst time of my life and it was so scary. If you’re going through this keep trying to be your healthiest mentally and emotionally as well. I pray for everyone struggling with this maddening Chlamydia post treatment stuff, it’s so hard and doctors can’t tell you anything. Hang in there!

What a great testament, and thank you for sharing. I definitely had the worst yr of my life mentally and physically because of this. And i dont talk about with anyone because i feel ashamed (std stigma sucks) but Im thankful for this thread that also spreads awareness and it made me feel like i was crazy. Since i did get the “maybe it’s just in your head” from 1 gyno. And Im glad to know that it went away for you. Praying my symptoms will be completely gone 1 day🙏🏼

I just wanted to thank you for sharing your experience, it gives me hope. I'm also glad to hear you had a healthy pregnancy after experiencing PID, the impacts on fertility have really upset me. Hope you're still doing well
