IBS: Stomach pain, fatigue and joint pain won't go away, Thoughts?
Dx as IBS and have tried numerous Dr , dietician , therapist , the abdominal pain , body fatique and joint painful won’t go away. Have had a flair up for 3 years now.
Ibguard, probiotics , activia … nothing helps .
Dx years ago with peptic ulcers and cauterized and put on rx which made me very sick. I now am experiencing throat burning and wondering if ulcers are now acting up. Costly procedure and can’t take rx.
Anyone have suggestions for any of this? Ulcers or abdominal pain
Every test possible with labs all ok . Only thing is my lab shows inflammation increased.

Yes did testing , at Mayo Clinic Jax 2 yrs ago . 2 days , 3 days at Air B& B , plus co pays $4k .
Another Endoscopy w/ endo flip / Entroscopy of small intestine/ 2 hr SIBO test .
Same diagnosis I had from other Gastro’s … did over 20 tests in 10 years.
They couldn’t help me . I’m seeing a new one after 5 month wait in Orlando Gastric Institute.
Haven’t been to one since Mayo .
My heart ♥️ palps are getting worse now w/ it . Just horrible, insomnia, fatigue… 1000’s deep belches . Thanks for caring .

I have the same as you . I am so thin from not being able to eat very much. I get sooo depressed from my belly hurting. Maybe we can figure out something together.

I’m so sorry 😢…
The weird thing is I can’t lose a pound ( and need to lose 30 lbs last 15 yrs ). I started this horrific journey 10 years ago . I don’t eat much at all either . My friend said , when your body is in starvation mode ( when you don’t or can’t eat much ), it stores fat and that’s why I don’t lose weight.
I just am always in gastric distress so hate eating . The 1000’s of deep wet sewer tasting belching and churning is non stop . Even if empty stomach .
When I do eat ( we cook healthy dinners at home only ), still suffer .
I hope this new 6 th Gastro I’ll see can help !
Do you see a Gastro Dr.?

Yes. I see a gastro doc. He says nothing is wrong with my belly. The psychiatrist says is from depression and anxiety which I believe it is. I fight every day to try and not be depressed and anxious, but it is a uphill battle. Meds don't work or stop working. I have been on at least 25 of them in my lifetime. Been to many psychiatrists. Seems like I am hopeless. I hope you can find the right treatment. I have my psychiatrist since March. So I am giving her a try.
Prayers for you .thanks for replying . Maybe we will come up with an answer.

I just wevt to my first two Psychiatrist visits . I’ll be speaking to a Therapist too soon from her office via teleconference.
She tried me on an antidepressant, side effects were so awful had to stop after 16 days !
That’s the 4 th one I’ve tried .
I have been in Klonipin for years as needed low dose and Ambien which doesn’t even help much anymore.
This is a vicious battle my friend.
Hugs ..
If meds don't help or you suffer side effects, going from therapist to therapist is also not helping, has anyone suggested you try some other route - meditation, exercise, getting outdoors? Our thoughts affect how we feel and how we feel affects our mood and that affects our gut and that affects our sleep that affects our outlook. I was very down several years ago, on my own started meditation and made sure I got out for a walk and sunlight. Learning to use your breath properly to calm your system is powerful. Learning to turn negative thoughts into positive thoughts is powerful. I'm sure you've heard "you are what you think." Try something different instead of going from therapist to therapist and from one med to another that doesn't appear to be helping based on your comments. Change course and see if something different works. And I say all of this with the deepest empathy and sympathy for you all. I've been there.
I live in Sunny Space Coast FL last 4 yrs . I get out a lot in yard , with dogs . Live on a beautiful pond with all kinds of water birds that I feed.
We built this home in 2020!
I walk 1.5 to 2 miles a day on feet …
I deep breathe 🧘♀️ all the time .
I’ve done it all .
I listen to many podcasts on health and healing too .
I’m on top of it but unfortunately I do still have chronic issues .
Try to access Reforma Pro Sanatate in facebook! You will get ride of the extra kg and will no longer have any discomfort. It is a nutritionist, Emanoil Cosma, who saved my life. The diet is not easy....but if you really want your health back...I recommended.
P.S. this is very first therapist I’ve ever seen in almost 62 years on earth 🌍. Bday is Thurs 14 th Sept .
So I don’t go from Dr. To Dr. … plus I do all you’ve suggested through these long 10 years.
Appreciate your good advice though.
I have IBS probably due to radiation for Uterine cancer several years ago. Have gone gluten free, low Fodmap, no dairy, alcohol or coffee. Taking B12 because of Hashimotos, Multi vit, and Fish Oil. Diet and exercise are best options. I seem to do best in Summer months (so wonder if vit D helps). Ginger tea helps. Flare ups require complete rest. I highly recommend good quality fish oil to help with BMs and joint pain.
