I have 'leaky bowel syndrome' . How do YOU handle it?
How do YOU handle 'leaky bowel syndrome. It is so unpredictable and often embarrassing. I have to wear pull-ups all the time. Have any of you had success in curing it?

I suspect leaky bowel caused my Hashimoto's (autoimmune disorder). The one thing I see recommended most often for this to go gluten free. I have been gluten free for a very long time and it does help some. My antibody counts are still elevated, but not as much as when I was first diagnosed.
You mean bowel incontinence. Leaky bowel syndrome might lead some to think you have leaky gut, AKA intestinal permeability.
Is there a list of gluten free foods to eat?
Try pectin (the kind yo make jams and jellies with) say 1 TBS in a small cup of water. Try it daily. Might help.
What do you eat? And does it stop the smell
Sorry, I meant leaky gut, not bowel.
I am 76 yrs old female, have had 1 Cervical fusion C5-C7, 2 lower spine fusions T12, L1, L2, and laminectomy L4 , hysterectomy at 31 yrs of Age. Also, several vaginal prolapse/bladder repairs. I had a colonoscopy in August, they found no polyps, but said I had a tortuous colon and several inflamed areas in my colon but no mention of what is causing my feces to ooze out at inappropriate times, like when I want to be intimate with my new boyfriend this IS REALLY embarrassing!! Also gas galore no matter how many Gas-X pills I take in a 24 hr period. I return to my gastro Dr on Oct 3rd. Has anyone else had problems like this and if so how was it treated?
