I don't necessarily think that is what she is saying - just that the cavity has shrunk. I have looked all over the place, and cannot find a precise definition of what constitutes a cavity. Since any cavity is a hole in the lung tissue, I would think that it would continue be treated as cavitary.
Does anyone else have exact info?

Yes, I see what you’re saying and you may be right! Thank you so much for trying to figure it out! I wasn’t able to find anything more on that myself and my pulm hadn’t specified anything about the cavity to me. I assumed my situation was cavitary regardless of its small size (9mm).
