Do most people get the flu shot for seniors (the extra strong one?) without much side effects? Last year I got the flu shot but not the strong one. My arm did not even react which made me wonder if it took effect.

Yes Irene, I have received the flu shot for seniors for the past 8 yrs. without any particular side effects other than a sore arm. I have received the flu shot & my other vaccines at my PCP’s office or at various pharmacies. I just had my first shingles shot (kept putting it off) at the Publix Pharmacy & my arm was a bit sore for 2 days. My PCP told me to expect a more serious reaction to the 2nd dose which will be in 2-3 months! Take care, Linda

My husband and I have been getting the stronger dose for a number of years now. The worst side effect was, on occasion, some minor soreness in our arm. Mostly, we had no problems at all. We’ve had our pneumonia shot as well as the new RSV and will take our next Covid vac. soon. Our doctors have encouraged us to get vaccinated. We believe in them.
