Hello, @hopeful33250 and thank you for the welcome. 🙂

The neuropathy diagnosis came in 2018. I tried elevating my feet/legs, and it did not do much good for me....yet people say it helps them, so one never knows. I wear compression socks every day (ask your doctor about the tightness of the sock to get), and they seem to keep the swelling down. Neuropathy often goes along with diabetes, chemotherapy, and other things; I do not have diabetes and have not received chemotherapy, so if a person thinks they may have neuropathy, they might want to pursue that with their doctor. There's a test for it, probably done by a neurologist.

It can be a sign of heart issues. Go see a cardiologist to rule out heart problems ~
It can also be kidney function issues, so ask the cardiologist to check kidney function in the blood work tests ~
Some ppl swear by riding a stationary bike or using an inversion table to eliminate fluid & give the back a good stretch. A physical therapist can “milk” the legs to relieve swelling & fluid retention.
But your body is telling you something so go get it checked out 🌹
