When and how do I take over any medications?

@anotherday

Well folks, I did it. I simply took his prescription and am issuing a daily amount. He's prescribed 3 per day for the pain and I'm putting 3 in a little bottle first thing in the morning and putting it where he has always kept them. Honestly, I did not know what to do. Posed it as a question here, talked to God about it, gave it a lot of thought and my thoughts at this point are: He's harming himself and I'm having to put up with loco hubby both when he takes too many prescription pain killers "and" when he then eats Tylenol like they're going out of style because he runs out of the prescription pain killers. He's not happy about it, but he hasn't figured a way to hunt for them either. He's watching me like a hawk and listening carefully IF he can't see me. Today he is having complete conversations with the television. Arguing with the television, correcting whoever is on whatever news program he is watching.... I just got in a new set of discs that I know will interest him, heading downstairs to offer those and see if he will engage with something not so upsetting to him. Thanks for your input, it's nice to know someone is listening and cares enough to respond. We just saw the doctor, I still feel like I'm on my own for so much of this. How do you guys do this?! AND keep your sanity...some days are better than others. I'm keeping you all in my prayers, hope you do the same for me.

Sounds like you have a handle on things for now. Asking the Lord for direction is ALWAYS a good place to start!
We have a motto at our home; Each day is a new and different day blessed by the Lord.
