This doesn’t sound right in terms of dietary recommendations. Are you taking enzymes? I also have recently been diagnosed with EPI.

I am taking ZenPep and my Dr. also suggested I increase the dose if I’m eating a big meal or something fatty. It’s been through trial and error that I’ve figured out my limited choices. I keep a food journal and that helps. I should check out the Facebook group. Thanks.
