Looking for men who recently had a laparoscopic radical prostatectomy
Had surgery 8/14 having a hard time dealing with the incontinence. Catheter removed 8/21. I know it’s early but just wondering if others are having a difficult time adjusting and how long it took to get back to normal urinate functions. Any advice to help the process along would be much appreciated.

Thank you
I don't need any radiation or even more Lupron now as the Lab work from the surgery on Ajg. 3 so no cancer spread and he got it all but who knows in the future. I just have to go get blood work every 3 months and if any uptick in the PSA off of 0, then we do a PMSA Pet Scan and if any spot/spots are seen inside where the prostate was, I get Lupron and if any spot/spots on the outside, then targeted at the spot/spots Beam radiation. According to the Hans Model, risk of recurrence is low and even 15 years out only a 17% chance of it coming back.
@bill1965
You are only 2 weeks or so out of surgery.
What were your expectations prior to surgery?
Hi! I ordered the same book online. Thanks for the referral. Let’s hope it’s a miracle book. I had Gleason score 9 and still don’t know if I have to have radiation. I won’t get my results until the 14th. I’m a nervous wreck waiting. I want to know but I don’t want to know. My summer flew by in a flash and I didn’t enjoy any of it. All the worry and anxiety, tests etc. this is the worst thing I’ve had to deal with in my life. Sorry if I am repeating myself, can’t remember if I told you this stuff before or not. I’m 58 and have always been a worrier since I was little. I know it doesn’t change anything but it’s the way I’m wired. My dr told me I have a 40% chance of it returning. I hope I don’t have to have radiation, that also screws things up with the plumbing, both ends. Well, hope we can keep in touch. Have you read much of the book yet?
