The Lifeway Kiefer taste the best . They have a few different flavors which made it tolerable but be aware it’s loaded with carbs. Since the CDIFF I now have to deal with digestive issues due to the damage that was done from this awful disease ,so I really watch what I eat.
I never even knew what CDIFF was until I nearly died. I had no warning . I collapsed on the floor waking to my dog trying to get someone’s attention in my house since it was in the middle of the night. By the time I got to the hospital my BP was 45/25 . After 5 long days they finally came up with CDIFF as my diagnosis. One of the worst and scariest times in my life. They sent me to the infectious disease center and that’s when I found out the toxin I had was antibiotic resistant . They had no info that they could give me. That’s when i realized I was on my own. After a month I found the Dr in FL it was very rare back then. Clindamycin and few others comes with a Black Box warning that no Dr or Pharmacist will warn you when prescribing it to you or maybe it was just my Dr 👩⚕️
@pixie1960 I, too, had the fmt 5 years ago. It saved my life! I had been through 3 cdiff relapses and then got the fmt. I still take probiotics every day and recently had to have an antibiotic for a tooth issue. I was frantic! I did some research and found that Zithromax didn't seem to cause cdiff. I took that and prayed! It's been almost 2 months since and so far, so good.
