So sorry to hear about your nephew.🙏 🤗🥲🤗🙏

I work in the kratom industry (part time) and have been on some level of involvement since 2014ish.

I don’t have anything to argue here. Substance use is a risk.

I got involved leading up to the opiate epidemic abandonment of chronic pain patients who were needing SOMETHING.

It’s a helpful botanical FOR SOME, but it’s not free of side effects. Long term use is NOT recommended.

Unfortunately the fed keeps limiting people’s options and they are now creating shortages of opiate medication.

This is where one big problem lies. People should not be left to suffer because SOME people abuse substances. SOME need an alternative period. Not every type of pain responds to Tylenol alone!

Another problem (this one is the most troublesome) I’m personally working on is getting kratom products OUT of convenience stores. It does not belong there next to the (poison) food and beverages. NEVER LET SOMEONE YOU KNOW BUY KRATOM AT CONVENIENCE STORES.

Even the convenience store employees are getting involved with this by shaming their customers into quitting. The kratom sold in those stores does not include pertinent information for use. And the products sold in that arena are typically much stronger than anyone “passing through the store” would need. Unfortunately!

I’m not trying to defend it. But I’m familiar with it enough to help answer any more questions.

Looks like there will not be a need for more information, but ask if you like and maybe I can steer you to updated reading materials online (the fed keeps taking information down. Anything with that word gets yanked offline).

Facebook discussions wind up in Facebook jail and all information torn down.
