Extreme Bloating after Total Colectomy

I can relate and feel your pain. My distention and bloating also started after I had a Colectomy. I’ve had every test under the sun with no apparent reason.
Mine isn’t painful and has been about a 2 in expansion. I’m convinced it’s scar tissue from surgical lesions. No cure for that one except to do a low Fodmap diet to control it and make sure you are negative for SIBO.
I have also been very depressed by this. I’ve done pelvic therapy, antibiotics and low Fodmap.
I will post anything I find helpful if and when I do.
Good luck!

I also relate to all of it. It’s been since 2008 and I live the ups and downs with my bloating and what it feels like nothing is moving.

I have to say deviating from the low fodmap diet gets me into extreme bloating and I feel down this morning as I pay my dues for doing so this last weekend.

I also would appreciate any feedback to how we can help it. In the past I used to be on alternating use of antibiotics but we all know how this is only a temporary fix since it disrupts the gut microbiome so I no longer take that .

Motility drugs was not of help .. it’s just sad at times but working on my mind set to help feel good from the inside out. !!!!
