Carnivore Diet for Neuropathy - Possible management/cure?

Anyone come across giving up all plants as a management or cure? Ever try it. I did and the results were amazing. Plants have built in poisons and those poisons reek havoc on our bodies. I am not a fan of the carnivore diet but at least my cramps, burning and pins and needles stopped.

While I haven't tried carnivore only diet to help with my neuropathy symptoms, I have done low carb eating for the past year or so and do believe it has helped some. I'm not sure there has been a lot of studies done on the topic but I think the key may be a low inflammation diet. You will notice that we added to your title to better describe your discussion. Have you considered using the diet while eliminating types of plant based foods to see if there are specific plants that trigger your symptoms?

I can't imagine going on a low or no plant diet! It goes against All I've strived for. Since I'm not as physical as I was before, I'd gain a lot of weight as. Result. Impossible for me to believe.

Keto and low carb have helped me feel better. I still eat
some low carb veg and berries, so not carnivore.

I played with Paleo, but not complete carnivore. I have tried hard to apply the thinking of “How would a cave man have to have eaten”when selecting my meals to stay away from adding too many processed foods.

Have you tried restricting your plant diet to organic plants? "Produce can be called organic if it's certified to have grown on soil that had no prohibited substances applied for three years prior to harvest. Prohibited substances include most synthetic fertilizers and pesticides." Organic fruits and vegetable might be a bit more expensive, but worth it to benefit our health.

I have noticed when I go on a low carb, low sodium diet, some of my neuropathy issues improve and the minute I start eating too much sugar again, those issues flare up. Darn my sweet tooth!!!

I've eaten very little produce in the past 8 years due to eating difficulties from my particular neuropathy and that hasn't helped my neuropathy at all.

I do know sugar, salt and caffeine all spell trouble for me causing more twitching, cramps, pain, vibrations, dizziness, balance issues, brain fog, etc.

My 38 year old healthy, athletic son was diagnosed with SFN with full body neuropathy 2 years ago. We believe in his case it was a perfect storm with high anxiety and stress that actually triggered SFN. He has tried many diets in the last 2 years and worked with nutritionist in hopes for some relief. I asked him the question about carnivore diet experience as he is doing much better now, compared to two years ago. His answer when I asked him if he felt the carnivore diet helped him, he responded, " I think if stress/anxiety is the culprit of your anxiety, using a slower energy release system has a more steady calming effect".

Overall it would be horrific for your body. Do any research and you'll find a high meat diet has a direct correlation to cancer, heart disease, etc. The Keto fad is wreaking havoc on bodies in the long term. Just not healthy. We are meant to have balanced diets.

I wish I could say that diet made a difference for me but I can't. Since I have very inactive Crohn's I must be doing something right. I tried a no suger added (read lots of labels) diet for 6 weeks and lost 16 lbs but no change to any symptoms. I have a friend who is a primary care physician who is a big plant based advocate, but she is alarmed at how high her CPK is and her muscle loss. Not good. Right now, I feel that the Human species is a omnivore and eats what ever is available. By now, we know what is bad for us and it is going to be different for everyone. I can't justify hard fast conclusions.
