Need to gain weight
For the past 3 years I have been losing weight. At 5’7” I’ve been at 134 for several years and then for some reason started losing weight. Have gone through 3 docs and several labs but nothing unusual. I’ve been at 112 for several months now and just recently dropped to 110 lbs. I eat all day long including after I go to bed. I try to eat healthy since I have high cholesterol. I’m not kidding when I say I probably eat every hour along with my main meals of lunch and dinner. Protein bars, peanut butter, dairy (I’m lactose intolerant so take supplement which helps a lot). I’m on low income so any suggestions will need to be inexpensive. Any ideas on how to get my weight back? Thank you! I’m in the USA 🇺🇸 Also I’m 77 yrs and walk everyday.

Similar to me. I lost ~20 lbs over 6 yrs without trying. Got scrawny. Had to beg Dr. for tests. Did fecal test and came back with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI).
I am a fitness freak. Trying to gain is tough. Zenpep cleared up all the diarrhea etc, but gaining is proving hard. But at least not losing anymore.
See if gastro will order the test for you.
Thank you 😊
You said you only went to three docs! Why only three? My main concern for you and I’m sure you too had similar thoughts would be some type of disease process like cancer. What has a GI doctor said about your failure to maintain your weight? What does your metabolic blood work show? Are deficient in anything possibly leading to disease process as a cause? Has anyone performed a CEA Antigen blood test which detects cancer cells? If a person loses 5% of their body weight over a month your doctor should be concerned and most electronic medical records will red flag a 5% weight loss. Seek out better doctors or an academic medical center.
