Well, same surgeon did my TKR. 26 mo po Wrong size replacement and was done robotically! Not a revision candidate. Harvard trained. The greatest in the area, a leader in this area. In his mid 40’s. Had a following now there is a gag order from his former office. Tying to open on his own and on FB trying to find his past patients.

Where are you located, sounds like my doctor.

My criteria for a surgeon worked well for me, but are certainly not foolproof. There is no excuse for placing a prosthesis that doesn't fit. My surgeon explained that the prosthesis should not go past the surface of the bone. That is, there should be a small space between the edge of the bone and the edge of the prosthesis. This can be seen clearly on the X-rays.

My TKR was also done with the Stryker/Mako robotic assistant. I'm very sorry about what you are going through.
