It is hard to believe that the NAC and Mucinex could get into your system that fast! Maybe some is left over from the previous day. That is alot of water! We sure all have different bodies.

The NAC is a clear (gelatin?) capsule which dissolves quickly, excess water helps a lot. Mucinex likely takes longer. Between my sinuses and lungs I need all the help I can get. Room temperature water easier to drink than refrigerated. According to Ayurvedic medicine, room temperature water is healthier for the gullet/gut than cold water. We loose fluids at night through respiration.

According to the label, Mucinex dosing one tablet every four hours, so I doubt I get carryover to next day. If I do, I'll take it!

I don't think they get into the system that fast - I believe that taken daily over time they have a lasting impact on the mucus. For example, if I stop Mucinex, I don't notice the thickening mucus for a day or two. With NAC, I ran out last winter, and noticed a difference after 4 days.
