Life after death

I absolutely love your post coffeedrinker. It means so much to me bc it’s a glimpse of the joy that awaits us after we die. thank you!!
Thank you! It brings me joy that my post gives words to live by. In the 5th line from the end of my last post (above), I forgot to capitalize the word “if” and it could change the context of the sentence if not corrected. Just wanted to let you all know. Love you my friends with Christ’s love! PS. Have any of you read about how Jesus healed the hateful heart of Paul (a scholarly Israelite, high up in ranks of the self-righteous Pharisees) and called him into love, teaching, spreading the Gospel, serving and performing miracles the rest of his life?it was the most beautiful total transformation ever! You can read the wonderful unforgettable details of how Jesus did this by Googling: “The Conversion of the Apostle Paul”. Then Google: “The Life of the Apostle Paul”. On Prime Video, there are great movies telling this story.
You are most welcome.
Grieving the death of a child is the ultimate tragedy and I feel so sorry you are going through this. My deepest condolences. I read a great blog posting by a Mom who wrote of losing her son. I'm attaching her post and hope you receive the great sense of peace that I received reading it. God Bless you and NEVER LOSE YOUR FAITH because our Father is ALWAYS with you!

I don't want to preach here, in this venue, but I am a Christian and have complete faith in the Bible. One of my favorite passages is in the Book of Job, chapter 19, verses 25-27. I also recommend 1 John 3:1-3. Both of these passages emphasize that, although we don't know what lies beyond the grave, we will be like members of the heavenly host.
@ddeba24 funny you should say that - I came across this quote which ties in with it:
“Faith can move mountains but don't be surprised if God hands you the shovel.” - Unknown
I’m a Christian and 100% know there is life after death and I 100% know I will be in heaven with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I 100% believe the Bible. And as someone who majored in biology I’m huge on facts. Archaeologists have discovered things mentioned in the Bible….and for example so many of the places mentioned in the Bible still exist. My faith has given me absolute peace when needed. It’s the only faith where you don’t have to do anything….no fasting, praying multiple times a day, etc. All I have to do is believe (as the thief on the cross did) and because of my relationship with Christ, I want to study the Bible, I want to help people, I want to be kinder, etc but if I am notI ask forgiveness and I still have the relationship and I still know I’m going to heaven.
I really like your photo attached to your handle. It looks like something I've seen in the Southwest. Would you mind sharing what it is, where it's located, and why you chose it? I've enlarged it for a better look, because it's such a serene, intriguing image. I may have seen it before. Thanks.
How nice to be asked! It is Devils Tower, a beautiful monolith that is a national monument in Wyoming. It is volcanic in origin, and loved by rock climbers. Also sacred to the Lakota and Kiowa and other Native Americans. and it is the landing site in "Close Encounters!" So kind of a magical place. I'd always wanted to go. About 1000 miles round trip from home and last month my husband took me! You can see me tiny with my cane at the base. Because my time is limited due to cancer prognosis--and because I feel as good as usual--we've been having adventures. Well, we always have adventures and I'm not a bucket list person...but it is kind of now or never. Feeding my soul in all ways has been a wonderful outcome in a time that could be purely stressful and worrisome. I hope you get to see Devils Tower if you want to!
Of course, Devil's Tower! And there you are! You're the second person I've met that's been there. Yes, I saw the movie, both the original and the extended version with the longer ending. Good for you for visiting that place!
