Has anyone completed 18 mos of Tymlos without positive results?

I'm approaching the end of my Tymlos treatment and am interested in hearing the results to dexascans after treatment.

I had 20% gain in spine and 9% in hip. Spine went from severe to borderline osteoporosis. Hope you get good results!

@kristie2 that is a low score. My lowest was -3.6. You also have the option to do Tymlos, or Forteo. Evenity may be more potent, who knows- does your doc explain their choice? My doc let me choose.

What I like about the Evenity is that it is only for 1 year vs Tymlos and it’s a once a month injection.

I am starting Tymlos next week. I am diagnosed moderate in my spine. I hope and pray this works. Any suggestions regarding the shots?

@ferrer1105 I posted in your other threads. Hydrate, try out a certain time of day (I do mornings, evening shots gave me a headache the next morning), and it helps me to be active after the shot, but others rest.

You can also start at a lower dose and ramp up. Your body adjusts and side effects may ease over time, as they did for me.

I've been on Tymlos for 3 months now. Initial side effects were bothersome, but tolerable. I started at full dose. They subsided within two weeks. Included hot flashes, morning headache, and insomnia. (I take shot at night just before bed due to dizziness/low BP for about an hour after taking. I've been on various meds throughout life for other issues and generally, my body adjusts over time. If I'm still struggling after two weeks, I re-evaluate). Now, only remaining side effects include dizziness/low BP after injection, which I don't notice because I'm sleeping, and late afternoon fatigue.

Good luck. You deserve to be well.
