My husband has lung cancer and has used an Albuterol inhaler for many years; probably at least 12 years. He had no problems until recently. He has gotten severe hoarseness. On the Mayo Clinic website I found that both Albuterol inhalers and nebulizers which he takes, can cause hoarseness. As do three other medicines he also takes which are Ipratropium, Metformin and Flovent. We are in the process now of working with the Primary Care doctor and the Cancer doctor to figure out how to deal with this situation.
