Bi-Rad C4 - 50-95% malignancy.
I had a mammogram last June and a repeat mammogram. I was told it was fine. This year I’ve had a mammogram and a repeat along with an ultrasound. Findings: “FINDINGS: On focused ultrasound there is a hypoechoic irregular shaped mass with antiparallel orientation and indistinct margins. There is some posterior acoustic shadowing. No calcifications are seen in the mass. IMPRESSION BI-RADS 4C -- high suspicion for malignancy. Ultrasound-guided biopsy is recommended. ACR BI-RADS Category 4C: Suspicious abnormality; High suspicion for malignancy.”
No doctor has spoken to me to explain any of this. My MRI and biopsy isn’t until 8/17. I’m so anxious and consumed right now it’s hard to function. Please help!

Please keep us posted as we are here for reinforcements. I just don’t understand the wait for MRIs but you are not alone. The MRI is so helpful as guiding your next surgical steps and will feel relieved to finally have a plan! Im 9 months out from 1.8 , invasive lobular. Fortunately I was able to skip chemo and head directly to radiation post surgery. We are all rooting for you! Xo

1 ReactionI was diagnosed by mammo in March of this year. I am having a mastectomy with axillary lymph node dissection in a couple day. I saw 5 different speciality physicians and a multitude of testing. I understand your anxiety. All I ever wanted was a diagnosis and treatment plan. You have to keep pushing and calling to get answers. It also helps if your doctors work collaboratively. I am a retired RN and am so disappointed in today's Healthcare.

4 ReactionsGood luck @capecoder52 - I had my lumpectomy at MGH at radiation etc at Dana Farber this past Feb. ILC - 1.8 cm at 57 yrs old. I share your disappointment with today's Healthcare and know so many people delayed surveillance, treatments during COVID - Dana Farber as you prob know closed OR's - crazy but necessary I guess with what we knew at the time. These cancer centers are crazy busy and it took me months to get in for surgery this past Nov. We are not in Katie Couric's orbit as she had mammo, ultrasound, biopsy and MRI the same day.

Okay, I went yesterday for an MRI, US guided biopsies and mammogram. The MRI found another, smaller mass in the same breast. Due to this finding they also did an US. Radiologist said it could be metastasis from the larger mass or its own. I asked the US tech who has worked with him for years if what I was hearing was that he thinks it’s cancer. Her reply was, yes. The radiologist has arranged to meet with me & my husband next Thursday along with a nurse navigator. I’m really anxious and also wondering if anyone else has had a similar situation and what the end result was. I truly appreciate any information surrounding my situation. ):

I would think that once you have surgery, biomarkers will identify how these cancers relate which will guide your plan of attack. Have you also booked an appt with a surgeon? I would get on calendar or perhaps nurse navigator is helping with that. Please keep us posted! xoxo
@kbrown121565 I had a radiologist tell me it was cancer but he did a biopsy after the mammogram and ultrasound to confirm. Will you have a biopsy or go straight to surgery?
He did the biopsy that day as well. I have an appointment with him and nurse navigator on Thursday, August 24 to get results.
