As a diabetic for the last 20 years, my blood sugars are at 6.4 which is acceptable for a diabetic. I’m thrilled at 6.4. Why would he put you on it, if you were 5.4? I’ve was put on Ozempic 1-1/2 years ago because I couldn’t tolerate Metformin anymore. Initially I dropped 25 pounds, but, my weight hasn’t budged since then. I’m happy with it though.
I’ve been on Ozempic for almost 2 years to treat my Diabetes. As far as insurance goes, it’s still pretty hefty for Ozempic, but, I guess it would be a little more affordable. Also, being on Ozempic for a diabetic is a life long commitment.
It appears I AM pre-diabetic, so fingers crossed! I know in this area of the country there is a shortage of both Ozempic and Wegovy. Obviously, the individuals struggling with diabetes should have "first dibs" on the Ozempic and a guarantee it will be in stock for them. Either way, I'm thankful I am not a diabetic again! That was scary!!!
