I too had cortisone shots and gel shots for years before finally getting TKR. Doing well 5.5 months out. The knee works good but issues with tigh it band lower back persist. More PT hoping time will work it out.

Need to start shots in left knee as it is now the week noisy one. Not looking forward to it I owning now the process is longer than previously believed.

I too have started cortisone injections in my non-surgical knee. I hope that I never have to have another tkr. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. To have another one on my left knee is unthinkable at this point LOL
