What's your experience with Vertiflex Superion Implant?

Posted by esperanza22 @esperanza22, Jul 27, 2020

Has anyone had the Veriflex Superion implant. I had it and it did not seem to work for me. Would appreciate any one that has information. Thanks

I hate to hear that because I’m booked for Aug 23 to have one but this what I doing is to find people that’s had it to see if it worked. The PA said they would be putting 2 to 3 implants in me I was looking at another web site about this and that Doctor said use this for moderate stenosis but not severe stenosis well I have severe so I’m doing my MRI this coming Thursday and before I go in I’m calling them to see what all it says

I had Verteflex(1 implant) 1 year ago. There was almost NO pain afterwards. I was able to stand up straight for about 4-6 weeks. Then the pain returned, bending, etc was very painful and I am back to square one. I hope you all have better success. Remember, we all have an individual respone based on many factors and you may be the successful one. Best to you all.

It’s been around 31/2 yrs since my implants and that’s about how long it lasted but I could go shopping without being in misery but now back to same old pain so guess it was worth the time to do it I don’t know if anything esle can be done but I’m not having a big surgery because there’s no grantee

Thank you for your post regarding the implant you had performed in 2018. If you wouldn't mind sharing with me and other readers if you were diagnosed as "moderate" or "severe" spinal stenosis prior to your decision to have the procedure done would be helpful to me. It seems that some of the posters on this forum were diagnosed as "severe" spinal stenosis and some have had lamectamy surgery. I do not fall into either of these categories, however, I do have MILD scoliosis in my upper lumbar spine and my MRI catagorized my stenosis in the lower spine as mild to severe in the lumbar 4.

I have severe stenosis . My implants worked for a couple of yrs but stenosis isn’t the only problem I have I need rods in my bank and I think that hurts me more than the stenosis I have to wear a brace all the time because my back isn’t strong enough to hold my back up . If there’s anything else you want to know just message me . Oh and by the way I read that if you have severe stenosis it really doesn’t work with the implants .I think there’s a group on Facebook that talks about the implants , right now I’ve forgotten what their called but if you have FB just type in search bar the name of the implants and it will be interesting to look at if they worked for people
